Choi Woo-Shik’s New Netflix K-Drama A Killer Paradox Trailer Previews Comedy Thriller

Netflix’s upcoming comedy thriller K-drama A Killer Paradox is all set to release on Friday, February 9, 2024. The series features Choi Woo-Shik’s return to the villain era, portraying a university student who accidentally turns into a murderer. He isn’t new to the thriller genre, given his roles in the 2018 action mystery film The Witch: Part 1 – The Subversion and the 2019 thriller Parasite.

The newly released trailer of A Killer Paradox captures Choi Woo-Shik in his element as he gradually turns from being a university student to a serial killer. Meanwhile, Son Suk-Ku plays a detective who does everything in his power to capture the killer. The trailer promises an engaging comic thriller with a star-studded cast.

A Killer Paradox is Netflix’s upcoming thriller series featuring Choi Woo-Shik, Son Suk-Ku, and Lee Hee-Jun. In the newly released trailer, Lee Tang (Choi Woo-Shik) is shown to be a lazy university student with little to no interest in his household as well as college. Moreover, he works part-time at a department store. However, his life takes a sudden flip, setting the tone for his villainous side.

The next few scenes in the trailer document Lee Tang’s journey as a murderer, killing criminals committing evil deeds. Meanwhile, Son Sok-Ku plays Detective Jang Nan-Gam. He is known for his dedication and sharp intuition. With multiple murders taking place, he is desperately on the lookout for Lee Tang. As the latter continues to commit crimes, he says, “Murder’s like that too. It just happens.” The next few scenes document a fun but tense battle between the criminal and the detective. Viewers will have to wait and find out who wins.

A Killer Paradox is based on the webtoon of the same name. As per Netflix, the webtoon has won multiple awards, including the New Artist Award at the Korea Contents Awards, Today’s Korean Cartoon Award, and the Jury Prize at the Reader’s Cartoon Grand Awards. The webtoon showcases Lee Tang as the subject of studying crimes, punishment, and sin as he plays a vigilante who kills criminals.

As of now, the entire cast list is yet to be announced. Choi Woo-Shik, Son Suk-Ku, and Lee Hee-Jun play pivotal roles. Lee Chang-Hee serves as the director, and Kim Da-Min is the writer of the series. Showbox and Let’s Films serve as the producers.
