Following closely, the Hindi version maintained a strong presence with a 28.03% occupancy on Monday. Salaar’s pan-Indian appeal is further underscored by its regional contributions of 20.26% from the Tamil version and 16.32% from the Malayalam version.

Salaar director Prashanth Neel on Prabhas’ reaction to film’s reception & Salaar 2

In a recent interview, director Prashanth Neel shared insights into Prabhas’ euphoric reaction to Salaar’s overwhelming response. Neel revealed, “I mean he (Prabhas) is absolutely over the moon, with something like this. His reaction is euphoric.”

Despite the jubilation, the Salaar director acknowledged the inherent dissatisfaction of filmmakers. He further added, “I don’t think any filmmaker is going to be satisfied. So I won’t be satisfied. Even with KGF 2, I was not satisfied with what I did.”

Nonetheless, looking ahead, Neel confirmed that Salaar 2 is in the pipeline. Assuring fans that it will be more monumental than its predecessor. Furthermore, expressing contentment with Deva’s character in Salaar, Neel teased that the sequel would be “bigger and better.”

All in all, Prabhas’ movie’s resounding success at the box office not only cements its status as a cinema triumph but sets the stage for an even grander sequel.
