Is there a Julia Season 3 release date?

Julia Season 3 does not have an official release date, but it will likely be announced in the future.

As of December 2023, Julia hasn’t been greenlit for the third season. This is expected as the second season finished airing recently, and HBO Max will likely assess how the audience responds to it before making any decision. The first season garnered a 93% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. If season 2 manages to replicate that success, the third season will likely happen.

In a December 2023 interview with Variety, series creator Daniel Goldfarb stated that he was hopeful that they would get to make more of Julia. “We are daydreaming about a third season, and actually looking a little later in the ’60s, where it feels like there’s so many incredible things that happened in the biography,” Goldfarb said, reflecting on what the third season can be about. “As ‘The French Chef’ went through some major shifts and the cookbook came out, Julie’s relationship with Simca could change. At the party in the end of the finale, when Julia declares that she wants to be on the right side and she wants to make some noise — that’s what I hope we get to do. I hope we get to make some noise.”

The cast includes Sarah Lancashire as Julia Child, David Hyde Pierce as Paul Child, Bebe Neuwirth as Avis DeVoto, Fran Kranz as Russ Morash, Fiona Glascott as Judith Jones, Brittany Bradford as Alice Naman, Robert Joy as Hunter Fox, Jefferson Mays as P. Albert Duhamel, Charlie Thurston as Roland, Lindsey Broad as Dorothy Zinberg, and more.
