Nosferatu Remake: Robert Eggers Details ‘Gothic Horror Movie’

Director Robert Eggers has opened up a bit more about his upcoming Nosferatu remake, detailing the gothic nature of the film.

Speaking to Empire, Eggers confirmed that the remake will be a horror film. He likened it to older, “gothic” films that don’t really seem to exist nowadays.

“Yeah, it’s a scary film. It’s a horror movie. It’s a Gothic horror movie,” Eggers said. “And I do think that there hasn’t been an old-school Gothic movie that’s actually scary in a while. And I think that the majority of audiences will find this one to be the case.”
