Raj Kundra’s UT69 Trailer Teases His Jail Experience

Raj Kundra’s highly discussed film, UT69, is set to hit the screens on November 3. The recently released trailer provides a raw glimpse into Kundra’s life, during his time at Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail. The trailer showcases his life following his arrest in 2021 for alleged involvement in a pornographic content case.

The trailer begins with a ‘breaking news’ segment, following Raj’s arrest and the ensuing media frenzy. Raj’s character, played by himself in his acting debut, goes through a remarkable transformation. Inmates question him on his personal life, whether being Shilpa Shetty’s husband or being a Big Boss contestant. He goes through constant ridicule from fellow prisoners and the prison staff, which forms a significant part of the trailer’s narrative.

A stampede-like incident and unexpected friendships within the jail’s confines add further layers of intrigue to the story. Raj’s character’s struggle for acceptance, survival, and personal growth unfolds throughout the trailer.

More details on Raj Kundra’s UT69

Raj Kundra’s real-life legal ordeal took place in July 2021. His alleged involvement in producing pornographic videos had him arrested. In September 2021, Raj was granted bail. Charges were pressed against him under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act, and the Information Technology Act.

The film’s creators described UT69 as a satirical take on Raj Kundra’s challenging days in Arthur Road Jail, which he considers the most difficult period of his life. The movie offers an authentic representation of this chapter, inspired by actual events.

Shahnawaz Ali, a popular ad film director directed the project, as revealed at the trailer launch. This confirmation laid to rest the earlier rumors about Farah Khan’s involvement.

AA Films supported UT69, SVS Studios produced it, and THE BIGGER PICTURE FILMS co-produced the project.

For Raj Kundra, this film is more than just a cinematic venture; it’s a deeply personal story of survival, friendship, and relationships inside India’s most crowded and infamous detention center, known as Arthur Road Jail. As the trailer tantalizingly suggests, UT69 promises to be a compelling and thought-provoking cinematic exploration of a man’s journey through adversity and self-discovery.
