The Marvels TV Spot Seemingly Confirms a Thor Character Cameo

The Marvels TV Spot Teases an MCU Cameo Appearance

A brand new The Marvels TV Spot for Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated superhero movie has been released, seemingly confirming the rumored appearance of a fan-favorite Asgardian warrior.

The video features a familiar Bifrost blasting into Captain Marvel’s ship while a sound bite of Carol Danvers saying she “called a friend” plays over it. Since only Asgardians like Thor and Loki are the only ones who can use the Rainbow-like bridge to travel to any place in the Ten Realms, it’s most likely that Carol’s friend will be one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Asgardian heroes.

Who’s in The Marvels?

The Marvels is directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman) from a screenplay by Megan McDonnell. Leading the movie are Oscar winner Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, WandaVision breakout star Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. Additional cast also includes MCU vet Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Zawe Ashton as Dar-Benn, and popular South Korean actor Park Seo-Joon.

“Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence,” reads the synopsis. “But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team-up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as The Marvels.”
