Dumb Money Streaming Release Date Rumors

The Dumb Money streaming release date is highly anticipated, and viewers are wondering when they can start streaming the film.

Viewers are interested in seeing Dumb Money as the film will be based on the 2021 book by Ben Mezrich, The Antisocial Network, and chronicle the Gamestop short squeeze of January 2021 and feature noted actor Paul Dano in the lead role. Here’s when it could be coming out on streaming.

When is the predicted Dumb Money streaming release date?

The Dumb Money limited theatrical release date is September 15, 2023, and the worldwide theatrical release date is October 6, 2023. Thus, viewers can expect the movie to enter streaming platforms by December 2023.

The December 2023 speculated streaming release date for Dumb Money is because of Sony’s pattern of releasing its theatrical films on streaming platforms two to three months after it runs exclusively in theaters.

The story will be based on the 2021 Ben Mezrich book, The Antisocial Network, and focus on a group of rag-tag investors from the Reddit page r/WallStreetBets, who band together to put a squeeze on two hedge funds that bet that Gamestop shares would fall.

The biopic dramedy is directed by Craig Gillespie. The cast of Dumb Money includes Paul Dano, Pete Davidson, America Ferrera, Nick Offerman, Anthony Ramos, Sebastian Stan, Shailene Woodley, Seth Rogen, and Vincent D’Onofrio.

Is Dumb Money coming out on streaming?

Dumb Money will be available to watch via streaming on Netflix.

The reason that the film will stream on Netflix is that Sony signed a deal with Netflix in 2021 to stream their theatrical films, which will be released between 2022 and 2026.

Current Netflix subscribers can watch Dumb Money when it drops on the platform. An ad-supported standard Netflix subscription costs $6.99 a month, an ad-free standard Netflix subscription costs $15.49 a month, and an ad-free premium Netflix subscription costs $19.99 a month.

The film’s official synopsis reads:

“Internet commenter Keith Gill sinks his life savings into GameStop stock and posts about it. When his social posts start blowing up, so do his life and the lives of everyone following him. As a stock tip becomes a movement, everyone gets rich—until the billionaires fight back, and both sides find their worlds turned upside down.”
