Universal Classic Monsters Gets a Limited Edition 4K Collection

The Universal Classic Monsters collection is getting a 4K release from Dawn of the Discs in time for Halloween.

The collection, previously available on DVD and Blu-Ray, features the eight most notable movies from the Universal Monsters era that began with 1931’s Dracula and culminated with 1954’s Creature From the Black Lagoon.

The 4K Universal Classic Monsters Collection features physical and digital copies of all eight films and is packed with extras for each. That includes the Spanish version of Dracula and multiple videos on 100 years of Universal and these movies’ involvement in that.

Universal Classic Monsters Collection 4K Release Date

The Universal Classic Monsters Collection 4K release date has been set for October 3, 2023, with pre-orders open now. There will only be 5,500 units made.

  • Frankenstein (1932)
  • The Mummy (1932)
  • The Invisible Man (1933)
  • The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
  • The Wolf Man (1941)
  • Phantom of the Opera (1943)
  • Creature From the Black Lagoon (1954)

The movies have had a massive influence on the horror genre in the decades since they were released. Not only with remakes and reimaginings of them, but in terms of establishing the genre as a true force in cinema. Definitely an essential collection for horror fans.
