Inside Amy Schumer Season 1

Paramount+ Removes Even More Shows From Streaming Service

Just a few days after Paramount announced that a handful of projects would be removed from its Paramount+ streaming platform, even more shows are being pulled.

What shows are being pulled from Paramount+?

A recent report from Deadline notes that shows Inside Amy Schumer, From Cradle to Stage (a docuseries based on Dave Grohl’s mother’s book Tell Me a Story), and Ghislaine: Partner in Crime (a docuseries about Ghislaine Maxwell, the partner of Jeffrey Epstein) have all been pulled from the streaming service as of Tuesday. Alongside them, movies Fantasy Football and Snow Day have also been removed.

Besides those projects, a ton of different Nickelodeon programs have also been taken off of the streaming service. These include All In With Cam Newton, Allegra’s Window, Becca’s Bunch, Bella and the Bulldogs, Crashletes, Digby Dragon, The Fresh Beat Band, The Halo Effect, Legendary Dudas, Monsters vs. Aliens, Mutt & Stuff, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Peter Rabbit, Pig Goat Banana Cricket, and Ride and The Troop.

While it’s unclear the exact reasoning for this most recent cutting of content, it’s likely that tax write-offs play a role.

Last week, Paramount removed Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, Queen of the Universe, and The Game from the platform entirely in an effort to save money.

In a statement to THR, the company explained that it would be removing projects that were underperforming off of their streaming services for tax purposes, so this likely continues that trend.

“In the unified Paramount+ with Showtime plan, the Showtime portfolio of edgy, critically acclaimed programming will complement the broad and popular Paramount+ library in a seamless offering that appeals to everyone, enables more discovery between the brands and builds overall viewership,” said a Paramount+ spokesperson. “As we prepare to combine Paramount+ and Showtime later this month in the U.S., we are refining our content offering to deliver the best streaming experience for subscribers.
