Keanu Reeves Wants to Join the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Ahead of John Wick: Chapter 4‘s anticipated release next week, Keanu Reeves has revealed that he hopes to join the MCU in the future.

In an interview with Looper, Reeves was asked if he would be interested in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point. The actor responded positively, explaining that he loves the films and that he hopes they can find something he’s suitable for in the future.

“That would be fun. I love those movies,” Reeves stated. “It’s great to be in that kind of make-believe land and be in those big movies and have fun like that. Hopefully, one day, they can find something that I’m suitable for.”

This isn’t the first time the action star has discussed wanting to partake in a Marvel movie. During a recent Reddit AMA, Reeves revealed that he has always wanted to play Wolverine.

Reeves will next be seen in John Wick: Chapter 4, which is being directed by Chad Stahelski from a screenplay co-written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch, who is taking over from franchise creator Derek Kolstad. It is produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Stahelski, with Reeves and Louise Rosner as executive producers. The film will arrive in theaters on March 24, 2023.
