Peacock Comedy Bupkis Gets Release Date, First Look Images

Peacock’s newest comedy series Bupkis officially has a release date, with the Pete Davidson-led series set to premiere on May 4, 2023.

Alongside the news of the premiere date, a first look at the half-hour comedy was also shown off, which shows off series regulars Davidson, Edie Falco (who plays Davidson’s mother), and Joe Pesci (who plays Davidson’s grandfather). Also shown in the images are some of the guest stars set to appear in the series, including Charlie Day, Brad Garrett, Simon Rex, Ray Romano, Kenan Thompson, and Chase Sui Wonders.

Check out the first batch of photos from Bupkis below:

Bupkis is being described as a “raw, unflinching, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life,” and is being likened to HBO’s Larry David-led Curb Your Enthusiasm. It is set to include a mixture of grounded storytelling with absurd elements, where it will reflect Davidson’s real-life persona “with an unapologetically unfiltered, R-rated storytelling.”

The series is being co-written by Davidson, Judah Miller, and Dave Sirus, who also co-wrote Judd Apatow’s The King of Staten Island, which was also inspired by Davidson’s life. Executive producers are Sirus, Miller, Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, and Erin David, with Miller serving as the showrunner.
