House of the Dragon Episode 5 Release Date & Time

House of the Dragon Episode 5 is near.

As always, stories set in Westeros never disappoint when it comes to drama, politics, and war. On top of that, the Game of Thrones spin-off also features many dragons. And it seems that many more are about to appear in the show. Here is when to watch the next installment in the compelling series.

When to Watch the House of the Dragon Episode 5

The House of the Dragon Episode 5 will air on HBO and HBO Max at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Sunday, September 18. The series consists of ten episodes which will air weekly. The upcoming Episode 5 is called “We Light the Way” and was directed by Clare Kilner. House of the Dragon is based on Martin’s Fire & Blood and follows the rise and the downfall of the Targaryens, the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria. It will take place 300 years before the events of the award-winning series adaptation of Game of Thrones which aired its final episode in May 2019.

The series will be led by Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, and Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. It will also feature Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Milly Alcock, Emily Carey, Graham McTavish, Ryan Corr, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Matthew Needham, Bill Patterson, Gavin Spokes, Wil Johnson, John Macmillan, Savannah Steyn, and Theo Nate.

House of the Dragon hails from George R.R. Martin, Ryan Condal, and Game of Thrones director Miguel Sapochnik, with Condal and Sapochnik also attached to serve as showrunners. Executive producers are Martin, Sapochnik, Condal, Vince Gerardis, and Sara Lee Hess. Game of Thrones and Westworld composer Ramin Djawadi returns for the series.
