Exoprimal Trailer Shows Big Guns and Bigger Dinosaurs

Capcom’s surprise reveal of Exoprimal in March had a fair bit of gameplay and cinematics. The company has provided even more details in its summer showcase, showing off more of the dinosaur shooter releasing next year. The game is heavily focused on multiplayer combat, both with PvE against swarms of raptors and PvP against opposing players.

Capcom also revealed that the game’s main Dinosaur Survival mode would act as a sort of campaign, unlocking story segments as players progress through missions. These missions will also unlock new parts for Exosuits, the mechanized armor that players jump into as they battle the prehistoric hordes. Each suit has unique weapon capabilities and specializations that will encourage teamwork when out in the field.

Exoprimal isn’t set to release until 2023, but the game will be playable before that to a certain group of people. Capcom is taking signups for a closed beta test that will run later this year to test the game’s online functionality and take in feedback before launch. Capcom didn’t reveal what platforms the closed beta would support, but we do know that the game is set for launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
