Being Mortal Production Halted Due to Complaint Against Bill Murray

Being Mortal, a new film that was set to star Aziz Ansari, Seth Rogan, and Bill Murray, is now in production limbo. As reported in Variety, this is solely due to an unspecified complaint against Murray. In a letter to the cast and crew, Searchlight Pictures said that it was immediately looking into the incident. It’s unclear if Murray will return when production resumes or be recast despite having half of the movie already in the can.

Lucy Liu came out last year with stories about Murray’s behavior on the set of Charlie’s Angels. In particular, the Ghostbusters star hurled insults at Liu directly, calling her a “TV actress.” Murray has also been notoriously hard to work with on set in many circumstances, a prickly attitude that cost him his working relationship with good friend Harold Ramis, among other things.
