Kingsman: The Secret Service to Take on Fifty Shades of Grey at the Box Office

20th Century Fox has shifted two of its upcoming releases. Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Secret Service, which was set to hit theaters this October 24, will now arrive February 13, 2015. That means that the film, which stars Colin Firth, Michael Caine, Taron Egerton and Samuel L. Jackson, will be going toe-to-toe with Universal Pictures’ Fifty Shades of Grey.

Originally scheduled for that February date, the Poltergeist reboot (a co-production with MGM) will now arrive on July 24, 2015, opening opposite the new Judd Apatow comedy, Trainwreck.

Warner Bros. Pictures, meanwhile, has set Jaume Collett-Sera’s Run All Night, previously unscheduled, for release on April 17, 2015. On that date, it will take on Tarsem Singh’s Selfless, starring Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Espinosa’s Child 44, starring Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace, Disneynature’s IMAX doc Monkey Kingdom and the comedy sequel Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.
