The Lost City Featurette: Channing Tatum Reveals Story Behind Leeches Scene

Paramount Pictures has revealed a new behind-the-scenes featurette for its romantic-comedy adventure film The Lost City. It features commentary by co-director Adam Nee along with lead stars Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock. The film is currently scheduled to hit the theaters on March 25.

In the video, which you can check out below, they talked about the film’s second day of production, where they’ve shot the humorous leeches scene that was first teased in previously released trailers. It also includes a hilarious outtake featuring Bullock delivering a monologue while staring at a naked Tatum.

The Lost City is directed by Adam and Aaron Nee from a screenplay written by Dana Fox. It stars Sandra Bullock (Miss Congeniality, The Proposal), Channing Tatum (21 Jump Street), Daniel Radcliffe (Guns Akimbo), Patti Harrison (A Simple Favor), and Da’Vine Joy Randolph (High Fidelity), with Brad Pitt set for a cameo role.

“Brilliant but reclusive author Loretta Sage has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan, who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, ‘Dash,’” reads the synopsis. “While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever.”

Based on a treatment by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses), The Lost City is produced by Bullock through her Fortis Films banner along with 3dot Productions’ Liza Chasin and Gordon through his Exhibit A Films.
