Krypton’s Aaron Pierre Joins Marvel’s Blade Film

Marvel Studios’ upcoming Blade film has gotten another star. Aaron Pierre, known for playing Mid-Sized Sedan in M. Night Shyamalan’s Old and Dev-Em in Krypton, is set to play an undetermined role in the vampire film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Deadline’s report doesn’t contain more information about the casting, but does state that it was “one of the more highly coveted parts in Hollywood” and that Kevin Feige,  Bassam Tariq, and others met with dozens of actors first before picking Pierre. Pierre is also working with Disney in Barry Jenkins’ Lion King prequel, where he will play Mufasa.

Only Mahershala Ali, Delroy Lindo, and Pierre have been cast so far in the film. This film is quite far off, so Marvel will assuredly be announcing more and more actors in the months to come. Tariq is also set to direct and Watchmen and Pen15‘s Stacy Osei-Kuffour is writing the script.
