The series, which is based on the incredibly successful BBC Three series Murder in Successville, will star Arnett, Haneefah Wood, Lilan Bowden, and Phillip Smithey (via The Hollywood Reporter). The six-episode series features Arnett teaming up with a different celebrity partner each episode to try and solve a scripted murder mystery, all while the celebrity partner must improvise their way through the series and attempt to figure out who the killer is by the end of the episode.

Guest stars for the upcoming season will include the likes of Annie Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Ken Jeong, Kumail Nanjiani, Marshawn Lynch, and Sharon Stone. Arnett took to Instagram to tease the series, revealing the basic premise for the show as well.

“Every day means a new murder case and a new celebrity guest star as his partner,” a synopsis for Murderville reads. “But here’s the killer twist: The guest star doesn’t have the script.”

“They have no idea what’s about to happen to them,” continued the streamer. “Together, the guest star and Terry Seattle will have to improvise their way through the case… but it will be up to each celebrity guest alone to name the killer.”

Murderville stems from Arnett and Sony’s Electric Ave. production banner, which secured the rights to adapt Murder in Successville. Krister Johnson (Wet Hot American Summer) will act as showrunner for the series, with Iain K. Morris and Brennan Shroff sharing director duties for each episode. Marc Forman, Jonathan Stern, Peter Principato, and Brian Steinberg, along with the original U.K. star Tom Davis, U.K. creator Andy Brereton, and U.K. director James De Frond are all attached as executive producers.
