The latest special event follows up the latest special, South Park: Post Covid, which premiered on Paramount+ on Thanksgiving. The follow-up will see the likely conclusion of the story that sees Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and the rest of South Park’s community looking to solve the mystery of Kenny’s death.

You can check out a new trailer for South Park: Post Covid: Covid Returns below:

“If Stan, Kyle, and Cartman could just work together, they could go back in time to make sure Covid never happened and save Kenny’s life,” reads the official synopsis for the upcoming television movie. “In South Park: Post Covid: Covid Returns, traveling back to the past seems to be the easy answer until they meet Victor Chaos.”

The two South Park specials are part of the massive, 14 movie deal that South Park co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone agreed to with Viacom CBS earlier this year. The deal will see Parker and Stone release two original South Park films every year through 2027. Prior to the two most recent films, South Park also releases two specials in 2020, the South Park: Pandemic Special, and The South ParQ Vaccination Special.
