Landscapers Trailer Teases True-Crime HBO Series Starring Olivia Colman

HBO has released the official Landscapers trailer for the upcoming true-crime drama starring Oscar winner Olivia Colman and Emmy nominee David Thewlis as Susan and Christopher Edwards, the culprits behind the real-life murder of Patricia and William Wycherley. The four-part limited series is scheduled to make its debut on Monday, December 6. The three subsequent episodes will debut each Monday at the same time.

The video begins with the discovery of two dead bodies in the back garden of a house in Nottingham. The officers in charge of the investigation invite Susan and Christopher for separate interrogations as they were the prime suspects of the case. It highlights how their relationship will get tested as the investigators used interrogation tactics to confuse them and turn them against each other.

Landscapers is created and written by Colman’s husband Ed Sinclair, who will also serve as an executive producer alongside Colman through their South of the River Pictures. It is based on extensive research, hours of interviews, and direct access to the accused, who have always protested their innocence of murder.

“Inspired by real events, the series tells a unique love story involving Chris and Susan Edwards, a seemingly ordinary British couple who become the focus of an extraordinary investigation when two dead bodies are discovered in the back garden of a house in Nottingham,” reads the synopsis.

The series will also star Kate O’ Flynn (Bridget Jones’s Baby), Dipo Ola (We Hunt Together), Samuel Anderson (The History Boys), David Hayman (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas), Felicity Montagu (I’m Alan Partridge), and Daniel Rigby (Eric and Ernie, Flowers).
