The Direct will take place at 6:00 p.m. EST on September 23, 2021, which is fairly late for a Nintendo Direct, and will last for “roughly 40 minutes,” according to Nintendo, and will feature “information focused mainly on Nintendo Switch games launching this winter.”

As is the usual case with Nintendo Directs, it’s unknown what will appear at the presentation, but we do know that Metroid Dread is set to arrive next month, so perhaps that will be involved. Aside from that, Nintendo also has a ton of highly anticipated games that fans would love to hear about, including Splatoon 3, Metroid Prime 4, the highly anticipated sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and more.

Anticipated games aside, Nintendo fans are also anxiously awaiting any news for updates on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as well as the final character to enter Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Fighters Pass Vol. 2. Of course, the company will also likely discuss their recently announced upgraded Nintendo Switch, which is set to feature an OLED screen and arrive on the same day as Metroid Dread.
