During the showcase, Creative Director Roman Campos-Oriola and Senior Producer Phillippe Ducharme both went over some of the key elements to the remake, including the fact that they wanted to stick to and remain faithful to the horror aesthetic of the original no matter what. Of course, the gameplay footage they showed off was extremely early according to the developers but did give a good sense of how things were progressing.

Alongside the new look at gameplay, Motive Studio also had a very special surprise for fans. When discussing the upcoming game, it was discussed whether or not Isaac Clarke — the main character of the series — would have his voice at all. It was then that Gunner Wright popped up on the stream, and confirmed that he would be returning to the series to reprise his role as Clarke.

Motive Studio said that while Wright will return, Isaac won’t be super talkative, instead only replying to characters or speaking up in a situation, thanks to the studio wanting to keep the spooky atmosphere in the game.
