Seal Team and S.W.A.T. have been renewed for another season by CBS

CBS Moving SEAL Team and Clarice to Paramount+

CBS will be moving two of its high-profile drama programs, SEAL Team and Clarice, to Paramount+ next season.

According to a report from Deadline, deals are still being finalized, but SEAL Team will reportedly be beginning its fifth season on CBS next fall, where it will air around four episodes on the network before moving to the streaming service. As for Clarice, the second season will reportedly stream exclusively on Paramount+.

The move for this shift to streaming apparently came down to shelf space, as CBS already had picked up three new franchise dramas for next season, as well as the medical drama Good Sam. With the addition of new shows being brought into the mix, CBS likely thought it best for the shows and themselves to migrate some to Paramount+, where they can continue to thrive without having to worry about battling it out in the ratings department.

SEAL Team follows an elite unit of United States Navy SEALs, Bravo Team, a sub-unit of the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Development Group. The cast includes Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., A.J Buckley,  and Toni Trucks. Clarice will be based on the best-selling novel The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris and will star Rebecca Breeds as the titular character.
