Adventure Time: Distant Lands Clip Teases Opening Minutes of Obsidian

HBO Max has released the opening minutes for the upcoming second episode of Adventure Time: Distant Lands titled “Obsidian,” introducing us to new characters as well as the origin story of the Glass Kingdom and how Marceline saved them from Larvo the Dragon. The second part will be available for streaming on Thursday, November 19. Adventure Time: Distant Lands will bring us back to Land of Ooo and reunite us with our favorite characters Finn, Jake, Marceline, Princess Bubblegum, BMO and Peppermint Butler. Each special is set to focus on a different character or set of characters with Marceline and Princess Bubblegum teaming up for the second episode while final episode will see Finn the human reuniting with his best friend Jake the dog.

The official synopses for the four specials are as follows:

Episode 1 titled “BMO” – “When there’s a deadly space emergency in the farthest reaches of the galaxy, there’s only one hero to call, and it’s probably not BMO. Except that this time it is!”

Episode 2 titled “Obsidian” – When a powerful and dangerous dragon breaks free from its prison beneath the Glass Kingdom, Glassboy—a young bookworm—sets out to find the legendary hero who first defeated the dragon centuries ago: Marceline the Vampire Queen. Marcy, now living in domestic bliss with Princess Bubblegum, is apprehensive about revisiting the Glass Kingdom. It’s a place that holds bad memories for her and Bubblegum. With the help of Glassboy and some new friends, Marceline and Princess Bubblegum will have to confront their rocky past as they face off against an ancient foe.”

Episode 3 titled “Wizard City” – “Peppermint Butler starts over at the beginning, as just another inexperienced Wizard School student. When mysterious events at the campus cast suspicion on Pep, and his checkered past, can he master the mystic arts in time to prove his innocence?”

Episode 4 titled “Together Again” – “Finn and Jake [reunite] to rediscover their brotherly bond and embark on the most important adventure of their lives.”

Adventure Time is critically-acclaimed series that was created by Pendleton Ward and was executive produced by Ward, Adam Muto, Fred Seibert and Derek Drymon. The series ran on air for ten seasons from 2010-2018 and had won eight Emmy Awards. The voice cast was consist of Jeremy Shada, John DiMaggio, Hynden Walch, Tom Kenny, Olivia Olson and Niki Yang.
