Adrianne Palicki Reflects on Her Brief Time as Wonder Woman

Even though Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film, it was only two years ago when the character almost made her way onto the small screen in a TV series from David E. Kelly with Adrianne Palicki as the title hero. NBC eventually passed on the pilot after many months, but in a recent interview with IGN, Palicki has nothing but good things to say about her experience.

“I got to play Wonder Woman which was, by the way, maybe one of the coolest things ever.”

When asked if she regrets that the show didn’t go to series, she replied:

“I wouldn’t say regret. I was devastated when it didn’t go and it was expected to. It was one of those things that was shocking. But in retrospect it was probably a blessing. It would’ve been a really hard thing to shoot. And I got to wear the costume — I should say, I got paid to wear the costume! So not many people get to say that. [laughs] I’m really blessed to have gotten to do that and maybe someday down the line I’ll get to play that character or another awesome icon again.”

Switching gears, Palicki confirmed that she will return in her G.I. Joe: Retaliation role of Lady Jaye for the upcoming G.I. Joe 3 and though she wouldn’t say if she had been approached for any more superhero roles, she does have her eye on one saying, “I’m waiting for Supergirl.”

What do you think Palicki would have been like in the role of Wonder Woman? Sound off below!
