Modern Warfare Season 2 Debuts With Iconic Multiplayer Map

The time has finally come for the premiere of the second season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which includes a bevy of new features and multiplayer maps, including the beloved map Rust from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2! The teaser for the new season can be viewed in the player below!

The new Battle Pass will include new content that player can unlock for free including two new functional weapons, 300 COD points, calling cards and other for over 170 earnable items. The season two content is available for free for general players while the Battle Pass costs 1,000 COD points to unlock up to 100 tiers of new content.

“The community response to Modern Warfare since launch has been incredible and we’re thrilled to bring back some legendary fan-favorite maps and an iconic beloved Modern Warfare character, Ghost,” Patrick Kelly, Co-Studio Head and Creative Director, Infinity Ward, said. “We’re committed to continuously fueling the fun with more and more content for everyone and can’t wait for players to experience what’s to come with Season Two.”

The story in the second season sees the Coalition and Allegiance forced to put their differences aside to work together and avoid a catastrophic nuclear disaster and find out where Al-Qatala has taken a Soviet nuclear warhead. Other new multiplayer maps will include Atlas Superstore, in which players set foot in a large-scale supercenter warehouse taken over by Al-Qatala, Khandor Hideout, which will be added later in the season, and the new Ground War map Zhokov Boneyard, an airplane junkyard in Verdansk in which players can bulldoze through buildings with a tank, find the ideal sniping position or go running-and-gunning against the enemy.

The second season will also feature new multiplayer modes, including the COD League Ruleset Playlist, in which fans can play like pro gamers, Gunfight Tournaments, in which players enter single elimination 2vs firefights, and Demolition, in which two teams battle for the objective of attacking or destroying bomb sites. Player who have the Season Two Battle Pass will be instantly rewarded with the iconic Special Forces Operator Simon “Ghost” Riley, who will be playable across all multiplayer and special ops modes, as well as 20 tier skips to immediately unlock new equipment and accelerate progress.
