Batman: Arkham Origins Multiplayer Mode Revealed in New Trailer

A few months ago, rumors began to circulate that there would be a multiplayer mode in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins. It seems those rumors were mostly correct as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has just revealed a trailer for the multiplayer mode called “Invisible Predator.”

Developed by WB Games and Splash Damage, players will have the option of playing as one of three Joker thugs, one of three Bane thugs, or the Dynamic Duo, Batman and Robin. The two gangs will play the game in a third person shooter, attempting to destroy the other team and capture objective points on the map. Batman and Robin will spend the game trying to intimidate the enemy and force the gang bosses to retreat.

When playing as Batman and Robin (who is not present in the single player and is none other than Tim Drake), players will need to pull off a variety of combos and takedowns in order to properly intimidate their enemies, but if you get killed in the line of fire, the confidence of the gang will skyrocket. The gangs also have the added bonus that after progressing to a certain point, their leaders will join the battlefield and players can assume control of The Joker and Bane.

Furthermore, players will be able to customize their characters to an extent with various unlockable costumes and weapons from playing the multiplayer. The Invisible Predator mode will be available with the game at launch. Check out the trailer for it below!

Batman: Arkham Origins will be available for the Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 25, 2013.
