Language of Flowers casts Nick Robinson

The Language of Flowers Casts Nick Robinson Opposite Kiersey Clemons

Actor Nick Robinson (Love Simon) has been cast opposite Kiersey Clemons (Heart Beats Loud) for the new film The Language of Flowers. Variety reports that the film is scheduled to start production in South Africa and San Francisco sometime this summer.

The film is based on the best-selling novel from Vanessa Diffenbaugh, which centers on a young woman (Clemons) with a troubled past who discovers she has an extraordinary gift for flowers which helps change the lives of others for the better. When she meets a mysterious vendor at the market (Robinson) who was also raised speaking the language of flowers, however, she is forced to confront her past and ask herself whether she’s willing to take a second shot at happiness.

Michael Mayer will direct the film, from a script by Peter Hutchings. Claude Dal Farra, Brice Dal Farra, and Brian Keady of BCDF Pictures will serve as producers.

Global audiences have witnessed Nick’s immense talents in his recent starring roles in both Love, Simon and Everything, Everything. We are delighted he is joining Kiersey to bring this special and touching story to life,” Dal Farra said.

Robinson recently starred in HBO’s Native Son, the romantic comedy Everything Everything, and had a role the dino-epic Jurassic World.
