Jennifer Garner Heads to Fantasy Camp for STX

Per Deadline, Jennifer Garner has signed on to star in the musical comedy Fantasy Camp, which follows a failed junior high school drama teacher (Garner) who faces her fears and pursues her dreams while attending a Broadway performing arts camp for adults.

The film was originally set to star Kristen Bell as early as April 2018, but the project never came together and The Good Place star eventually vacated the role. Enter Garner, who most recently starred in STXfilms’ action drama Peppermint, and as a voice in the animated film Wonder Park.

Fantasy Camp will be written by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein based on the original script by Sid Karger. Kohn and Silverstein will also direct. The duo are behind Amy Schumer’s romantic comedy I Feel Pretty, not to mention Never Been Kissed, He’s Just Not That Into You and The Vow.

Greg Silverman of Stampede and Adam Kolbrenner of Lit Entertainment Group are producing.
