Exclusive Sneak Preview of the New Carnage Site

Sony Pictures Classics has given ComingSoon.net an exclusive preview of the new site for Roman Polanski’s Carnage, an adaptation of Yasmina Reza’s play, “God of Carnage,” which Polanski co-wrote with the playwright. The movie, which opens in New York and Los Angeles on December 16, stars Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly as two couples who get together to discuss a squabble between their respective sons, but over the course of 80 minutes, a friendly encounter turns ugly as they realize how different their ideologies really are.

It’s a fun movie that offers a surprising amount of laughs considering the serious nature of much of Polanski’s filmography, and the interactive site mirrors the film’s darkly humorous nature, being quite a bit more ambitious than Sony Pictures Classics’ normal websites. It features a new photo gallery, a number of audio clips featuring some of the movie’s hilarious quotes that come from out of the interaction between these four terrific actors, as well as a lot of new behind-the-scenes details from the making of the movie. It also includes a full release schedule of where the film will be playing after its platform release on December 16, and it will be updated regularly as more theaters are added.

The site is scheduled to launch at 3 p.m. Eastern today (Monday, December 8), at which time, you can check it out for yourself at CarnageMovie.com. In the meantime, ComingSoon.net has a few exclusive screenshots of the new site including a cool behind the scenes photo of Polanski and his cast that you can check out below.
