Community Season Six to Debut March 17!

As announced last year, Dan Harmon’s “Community” is heading to Yahoo! Screen for it sixth season! Today, it has been revealed that the first new episode will debut March 17 via the online streaming service. In the player below, you can check out a just-released teaser video promoting the new episodes and featuring some familiar (and brand new) Greendale students!

Although Yvette Nicole Brown’s Shirley Bennett and Jonathan Banks’ Buzz Hickey will not be back as series regulars this year, stars Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong are set to be joined by Paget Brewster as Francesca “Frankie” Dart, a consultant brought in to help improve Greendale, and Keith David as Elroy Patashnik, a washed up inventor who decides to return to college as a means of reinventing himself.

Harmon has also made clear that, while fans have long rallied behind the call for “Six Seasons and a Movie,” he’s hoping that “Community” will live on for some time to come. That being said, plans for a movie are already being considered and, as always, check back for updates as they become available.

Also released today is a new Season Six cast photo, which you can check out above. Click on the image header for a larger version!
