Comic-Con: Game of Thrones Panel Live blog

Cast featured in the second season of “Game of Thrones” and appearing on this panel are Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), and Richard Madden (Robb Stark). Based on the bestselling fantasy book series “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George R. R. Martin, HBO’s “Game of Thrones” series concluded its 10-episode second season on June 3. Created and executive produced by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, the series follows kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and noblemen as they vie for power in a land where summers span decades and winters can last a lifetime. Season 2 of the hit series told an epic story of duplicity and treachery, nobility and honor, conquest and triumph, set in an enthralling world of intrigue, seduction, and magic.

Silas Lesnick: Michelle loved filming with Alan Taylor

3:30

Silas Lesnick: The next question is about costumes and how it helps the actors get into character

3:30

Silas Lesnick: Robb says that the moment he’s in costume, he’s walking and breathing differently and just enters the world.

3:31

Silas Lesnick: Michelle says there’s such intricate details to the costumes that never even make it to the screen.

3:32

Silas Lesnick: They say they’re always grateful for when they get to wear hats and hoods because of the cold

3:33

Silas Lesnick: George blames his “13 year-old” partner again for changing the costume design for Emilia

3:33

Silas Lesnick: A fan asked Rose to tell him, “You know nothing!” which she happily did.

3:35

Silas Lesnick: A fan is asking about the show’s relation to the modern-day world

3:38

Silas Lesnick: George is quoting Faulkner, saying that the only thing worth writing about is the conflict within oneself

3:39

Silas Lesnick: Emilia says that she feels that every choice Daenerys is morally justified

3:41

Silas Lesnick: A fan is visiting from Iceland and they’re telling him his country is beautiful

3:41

Silas Lesnick: George is talking about how much he has always loved turtles

3:42

Silas Lesnick: He grew up in a housing project in New Jersey and the only pet they were allowed to have were dime store turtles

3:42

Silas Lesnick: He had a toy castle filled with turtles and he jokes that he’d like to recast GoT with a cast of all turtles.

3:43

Silas Lesnick: The cast is talking about how invaluable the books are for getting into character

3:45

Silas Lesnick: It looks like it’s wrapping up, but George promises one more treat…

3:46

Silas Lesnick: It was kind of a gag — They made it look like a trailer for season three was about to start, but it was just text that read — “GAME OF THRONES… SEASON THREE” and then ended

3:46

Silas Lesnick: And it looks like that’s it! Check back soon for our live blog of the RESIDENT EVIL panel.
