The article was based on a radio episode of the show This American Life called “Anatomy of Doubt.” The article won a The Marshall Project and ProPublica Pulitzer Prize. The story was about a teenager named Marie “who was charged with lying about having been raped, and the two female detectives who followed a twisting path to arrive at the truth.”
