Exclusive: Hugh Dancy Talks About NBC’s Hannibal

Recently announced to play FBI Agent Will Graham in NBC’s upcoming “Hannibal” television series, Hugh Dancy also stars in Tanya Wexler’s period comedy Hysteria, hitting theaters in a limited release on May 18th.

Today, ComingSoon.net had the chance to sit down and speak with the actor and, while we’ll be running the full interview soon, you can check his thoughts about taking on the Graham role over at ShockTillYouDrop.com.

“It’s not directly adapted,” Dancy explains of the show’s take on Thomas Harris’ books, “because you’d begin with the backstory of ‘Red Dragon’, which is when Hannibal is still out and about and before he’s even been identified as a criminal.”

The show, written and produced by Bryan Fuller, has already been given a 13-episode commitment by the network, though the role of Hannibal Lecter has yet to be cast.
