Stranger Things EP to Develop Haunted House Show Epiphany for CW

Stranger Things executive producers are developing the haunted house drama Epiphany for The CW

Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen are set to develop haunted house drama Epiphany for The CW, according to THREpiphany has a script commitment from the network. It’s described as “in the vein of Stanley Kubrick and Agatha Christie.” The show is a psychological thriller about a group of people who are recruited to a “Gilded Age mansion” to solve a mystery.

Epiphany will be written by Spenser Cohen (the upcoming film Extinction), who will executive produce with Levy and 21 Laps. Cohen’s producing partner Anna Halberg will executive produce as well with Lee Toland Krieger (The Age of AdalineLife Sentence), who will direct the pilot for Warner Bros. Television if the show moves forward. Emily Morris will oversee for 21 Laps.

Stranger Things Season 2 is set a year after Will’s return, and everything seems back to normal… but a darkness lurks just beneath the surface, threatening all of Hawkins. It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demagorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

Stranger Things Season 2 will star Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, and Matthew Modine. New cast additions include Sadie Sink (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers), Brett Gelman (Blunt TalkThe Other Guys), newcomer Linnea Berthelsen, and ’80s icons Sean Astin (The Goonies) and Paul Reiser (Aliens).
