Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 5 Set at FOX

FOX gives the green light to Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 5

There’s some good news today for fans of FOX‘s police comedy as word breaks that Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 5 has been given the green light. The series stars Andy Samberg as Detective Jake Peralta, a good enough cop that he’s never had to work that hard or follow the rules too closely. That is, until the precinct found a new commanding officer in Andre Braugher’s Captain Ray Holt.
Other members of the Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast include Melissa Fumero as Detective Amy Santiago, Terry Crews as Sergeant Terry Jeffords, Joe Lo Truglio as Detective Charles Boyle, Stephanie Beatriz as Detective Rosa Diaz and Chelsea Peretti as office manager Gina Linetti. Together, these tightly knit – or is it tightly wound? – cops interrogate suspects, arrest perps and solve murders. But, ultimately, Brooklyn Nine-Nine offers a workplace comedy that’s not really about the job. It’s about the men and women behind the badge – singing karaoke, eating gourmet ham and hitting on each other – all while protecting the fine people of Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is currently closing out its fourth season. The one-hour season finale is set to air Tuesday, May 23 with the following official description:
As Jake and Rosa continue their search for a bank-robbing operation with Lieutenant Hawkins (guest star Gina Gershon), they realize there’s more to her team than meets the eye. After discovering a dangerous secret, they call for back-up from Holt and Pimento (guest star Jason Mantzoukas). Meanwhile, Boyle objects to Gina’s new boyfriend (guest star Ryan Phillipe). Then, Jake and Rosa are framed for a crime they didn’t commit, it’s up to the Nine-Nine to find a way to bust them out.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is produced by Universal Television, 3 Arts Entertainment and Fremulon. Created and written by Dan Goor (Parks and Recreation) and Michael Schur (Parks and Recreation), the series is executive-produced by Goor, Schur and David Miner (30 Rock).
