First Look at the Creepshow tribute on The Walking Dead

This Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead on AMC is going to have a tribute to the 1982 classic horror film Creepshow. This week’s episode, entitled “Say Yes,” will be directed by iconic special effects makeup artist Greg Nicotero. This will mark his 19th time directing an episode of the horror series. On his Instagram account (via Bloody Disgusting), Nicotero posted a picture of his nod to the classic Creepshow movie poster with the caption, “Maybe a “Creepshow” tribute in this upcoming episode of “The Walking Dead”. My 19th episode as director. See you Sunday! All Rick, All Michonne, All Walkers!” Nicotero is known for putting zombie film tributes in his episodes.

“Say Yes” will see Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) alone in an abandoned amusement park. The tagline for the episode reads, “The group scavenges for supplies; Someone in Alexandria must make morally changing decision.” Check out Nicotero’s post below.

Here is the original poster for the film. Creepshow was directed by George A. Romero and written by Stephen King. It stars Hal Holbrook (All the President’s Men), Adrienne Barbeau (Escape From New York), Fritz Weaver (Marathon Man), Leslie Nielsen (Airplane!), Ted Danson (Cheers), and E. G. Marshall (12 Angry Men). King also appeared in the film.
