Eddie Izzard and Donald Sutherland are joining the previously-announced Elijah Wood in Syfy’s two-part miniseries “Treasure Island.”
Izzard will play Long John Silver, Wood has been cast as Ben Gunn and Sutherland will play the role of Flint, says Variety.
The cast also includes “Harry Potter” stars Shirley Henderson and Toby Regbo, as well as Philip Glenister, Rupert Penry-Jones, Daniel Mays, David Harewood and Keith Allen.
The project will film in Puerto Rico and Ireland for a premiere in early 2012. Steve Barron is directing from a script by Stewart Harcourt.
