TNT has given the green light to “Delta Blues,” a drama pilot executive produced by George Clooney, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The project, from Clooney and Grant Heslov’s Smokehouse Pictures and Warner Horizon, was written by Liz Garcia (“Cold Case”) and Josh Harto. It centers on an outstanding but unusual Memphis cop who moonlights as an Elvis impersonator and lives with his mother.
Clooney, Heslov, Garcia and Harto are executive producing. Smokehouse’s Abby Wolf-Weiss also is expected to receive a producing credit.
