Ray Winstone and Jonah Lotan are set to star on HBO’s drama pilot “Last of the Ninth” from David Milch, says The Hollywood Reporter.
“Ninth” is a gritty drama set in 1972 in the New York Police Department, which is struggling with fiscal problems and allegations of corruption. The project centers on Joe Dalton (Lotan), a young Vietnam veteran who joins the NYPD as an undercover cop. There, veteran detective John Giglio (Winstone) takes him under his wing.
Milch wrote the pilot with Bill Clark; the duo also are executive producers. Carl Franklin is directing the pilot.
