Fox Orders Fourth So You Think You Can Dance

Fox has already ordered a fourth season of this summer’s hottest show, “So You Think You Can Dance,” to air in 2008.

On the hit series hosted by Cat Deeley, dancers skilled in everything from Hip-Hop to Broadway to Ballroom compete to be named America’s favorite and win the grand prize. Some dancers will be sent soaring skyward while others will be sent home. The current season’s winner will receive $250,000 and will perform in the nationwide “So You Think You Can Dance” tour featuring Top 10 dancers from the series. Last year’s tour sold out in a matter of minutes. 2007 tour details will be announced soon.

“So You Think You Can Dance” airs Wednesdays and Thursdays on Fox. The two-night, four-hour Season Three finale airs Wednesday, Aug. 15 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursday, Aug. 16 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), preceded by a special results show Tuesday, Aug. 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).

Emmy-nominated “So You Think You Can Dance” was created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and comes from 19 Entertainment Ltd. and dick clark productions. It is executive-produced by Simon Fuller, Nigel Lythgoe and Barry Adelman.
