Jones and Bridges Hate Chris

Orlando Jones and Todd Bridges have joined the cast of “Everybody Hates Chris.” Orlando Jones guest stars as Mr. Newton, a scholarly substitute teacher who makes Chris’ life a living hell, while Todd Bridges plays Doc’s nephew Monk, in the episode entitled, “Everybody Hates the Substitute,” on “Everybody Hates Chris,” Monday, February 12, 2007 (8:00PM-8:30PM ET/PT) on The CW.

Orlando Jones got his start in the entertainment business as a writer for Fox’s “Roc Live” and “Sinbad” and soon after joined the original cast on the Fox sketch comedy series “Mad TV.” Jones was last seen as Detective Cayman Bishop on the ABC drama “The Evidence” and currently can be heard on the MTV2 animated series “The Adventures of Chico & Guapo” which he also co-created. Jones other credits include Drumline, The Replacements, Say It Isn’t So, Double Take and “Office Space.”

Todd Bridges first began his career as a young actor in Jell-O commercials and soon after had reoccurring roles on such hit series as “The Walton’s,” and “Little House on the Prairie.” In 1978, Todd landed the role of Willis Jackson on “Diff’rent Strokes” and also guest stared on such shows as “The Love Boat,” “Facts of Life,” “Hello Larry,” “Battle of the Network Stars,” and “Circus of the Stars.” Bridges with his brother James Jr., have partnered and established their own production company, Little Bridge Productions.

“Everybody Hates Chris,” co-created by Chris Rock and Ali LeRoi, is inspired by comedian Chris Rock’s childhood experiences. Rock narrates this hilarious, touching story of a teenager growing up as the eldest of three children in Brooklyn, New York, during the early 1980’s. The series stars Tichina Arnold, Terry Crews, Tyler James Williams, Tequan Richmond, Imani Hakim, and Vincent Martella.
