Less than one month after we learned that the 1988 Tom Hanks hit Big is currently being developed for television, Deadline reports that Bachelor Party, one of Hanks’ first big hits, is also headed to the small screen. ABC has plans to shoot a pilot that will follow three different couples in various stages of their relationships.
The series hails from creators and executive producers J.J. Philbin and Josh Malmuth. Jake Johnson, Renate Radford, Jason Winer and Max Winkler. Winer and Winkler have plans to direct the series themselves with Winer eyeing the pilot.
“Bachelor Party” previously received an “In-name-only” direct-to-DVD sequel, Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation in 2004.
