NYCC: Black Sails Season 2 Trailer & First Photos from Da Vinci’s Demons Season 3

Starz has released the first trailer for the second season of “Black Sails,” premiering January 24, 2015. Today, during the Starz “Black Sails” panel at the New York Comic Con, Starz Managing Director Carmi Zlotnik announced the series has been renewed for a third season which will begin shooting in Cape Town, South Africa next month. The first season of “Black Sails” set a viewership record for a debuting Starz Original series during its opening weekend in January 2014 and established an average of 5.3 million viewers per episode; it is distributed in about 130 countries and territories worldwide.

The Starz Comic Con panel also featured the cast and creators of “Da Vinci’s Demons,” which is currently shooting its third season. Below, you can check out all new first look images from the third season of “Da Vinci?s Demons.” The action adventure drama from the mind of David S. Goyer, helmed by showrunner and EP John Shiban (writer “Breaking Bad,” “The X-Files”), follows the adventures of a young Leonardo da Vinci, on the cusp of greatness. In season three, which returns to Starz in 2015, da Vinci’s world comes crashing down when the city of Otranto is torn apart by an Ottoman invasion.
