The Devil’s Advocate Heads to Television

Taylor Hackford’s The Devil¬ís Advocate, one of the many supernatural thrillers that came out of the late 1990s, is headed to the small screen. Deadline today reports that the film is serving as the basis for an upcoming NBC pilot from the film’s original producers John Wells and Arnold Kopelson. Matt Venne (Bag of Bones) is penning the script.

The film, which opened in 1997, starred Keaunu Reeves, Al Pacino, Charlize Theron, Jeffrey Tambor and Craig T. Nelson.

Reeves played an up and coming hot shot lawyer whose boss (Pacino) turns out to be the Devil himself. This comes with a lot of perks, but moral dilemmas as well.
