The CW Plans Tales From the Darkside

George Romero’s 1980’s horror anthology series, “Tales From the Darkside,” is headed back to television. Deadline brings word that The CW is developing a reboot with Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci attached to produce and Joe Hill attached to write.

“Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality,” a disembodied voice reads at the beginning of each episode of the original series. “But there is, unseen by most, an underworld, a place that is just as real, but not as brightly lit. A darkside.”

The new series is planned to retain the original show’s half-hour format with Hill, Kurtzman and Orci also executive producing alongside CBS TV Studios’ Mitch Galin, Jerry Golod and Heather Kadin.
