The new season of Arrow isn’t playing around with their villain guest stars this season. With Summer Glau, Michael Jai White, and many more already slated to appear, their comic book roster continues to grow. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Firefly star Sean Maher has been cast as Mark Scheffer, AKA the supervillain Shrapnel, and will appear in the upcoming tenth episode of the new season.
Like his comic book counterpart, Scheffer will be a serial bomber and will target various buildings in Starling City and even go after Kevin Alejandro’s Sebastian Blood. It’s not known at this time if Maher will have an appearance similar to the character’s look in the comics, but we’re expecting an “Arrow-fied” version of that same style.
Arrow airs Wednesdays on The CW at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
