Executive Producer David Alpert Weighs in on The Walking Dead’s Fourth Season

We’ve got less than two months before AMC’s “The Walking Dead” returns for its fourth season and, today, the channel has posted a new interview with executive producer David Alpert, who teases a few new details about what fans can expect come October 13.

“I think we’re going to see an evolution in the walkers,” he says. “There’s a whole bunch of new walkers — and we’ll see an evolution of the threat of human-on-human. Dangling the possibility of civilization will make people much more desperate and willing to do things that would have previously been unthinkable.”

Because of the series’ infamous character mortality rate, the production offices have established a wall labeled “Our Grateful Dead” to showcase former cast members.

“[T]here’s going to be a whole bunch of people added to the wall,” Alpert continues. “…The great thing about this show is that literally every character is on the table… We have no one that is untouchable.”

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, “The Walking Dead” stars Andrew Lincoln, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Lauren Cohan, Scott Wilson, Melissa McBride, Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green, Emily Kinney, Larry Gilliard Jr., David Morrissey and Danai Gurira.

Catch the premiere on Sunday, October 13 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
