We’re a few days behind on this one, but it’s funny enough to be worth the wait. A&E has brought online a special “Bates Motel” sketch they prepared for the show’s Comic-Con panel that features executive producer Carlton Cuse and leading man Freddie Highmore visiting the original Psycho set on the Universal lot. Check it out in the player below!
“Bates Motel” serves as a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining Alfred Hitchcock classic, giving viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates’ psyche unravels through his teenage years. Fans have access to the dark, twisted backstory of Norman Bates and how deeply intricate his relationship with his mother, Norma (Vera Farmiga), truly is.
Season two of “Bates Motel” is currently in production and is slated to air early 2014.
