Aaron Paul ‘Couldn’t be Happier’ with Breaking Bad’s Finale

With the final eight episodes set to begin airing August 11, AMC’s “Breaking Bad” has fans everywhere wondering exactly how it’s all going to end. Today, ComingSoon.net caught up with leading man Aaron Paul, who stars as high school drop-out turned drug lord Jesse Pinkman opposite Bryan Cranston’s Walter White, and asked about his thoughts on the series’ upcoming finale.

“You guys are going to s–t your pants,” he says. “… Before I read the final eight episodes — the final eight hours of the show — I was thinking to myself that this was so tragic. I can’t believe this show is ending. I didn’t want it to end but, after knowing how the final eight hours play out, I couldn’t be happier with the ending.”

Since shooting has already wrapped on the Albuquerque-based production, the only challenge left for Paul is to keep the show’s final arc under wraps.

“I don’t have a problem not telling people,” he explains. “Everyone asks me but, deep down, they really don’t want to know. I know that.”

That being said, Paul understands the fan desire to know as much as possible as soon as possible and admits that even he was overly anxious to find out what series creator Vince Gilligan has in store for Walter and Jesse.

“Honestly, I couldn’t wait,” he laughs. “If I got an e-mail on my phone with the final eight, I thought to myself, ‘I’m gonna wait to get home and actually have the paper scripts, drink some wine and take my time with it.’ But in all reality, probably six of the eight episodes I read on my phone on a plane to something. I could not wait. I’m a huge fan of the show as well.”

Fans attending this year’s San Diego Comic-Con will have a chance to catch Paul at the final “Breaking Bad” panel in Hall H. Full details have not yet been announced, but the actor confirmed that he will be in attendance for the event on Sunday, July 21.
